Mechanical Engineer Journey-in-a-Day (DJ)

Bring your Daisies and Juniors to the Reading Public Museum and get your Mechanical Engineering on!

Daisies, develop your mechanical engineering skills at the Reading Public Museum as you spend the morning completing design challenges by making board games to play with friends, building and testing thrilling rollercoasters, and a building a model car that goes! You’ll even compete in a car chase to test your design on different surfaces. All troops must meet girl-adult ratios for their group. Individual girls must be accompanied by a registered adult. *Includes Board Game, Model Car, and Roller Coaster Mechanical Engineering badges.

GSEP is excited for our second annual GSEP Trefoil Fitness Challenge Series. Whether you are a race enthusiast or just a beginner, we want you to get moving! Join your sister Girl Scouts, family, and friends for three fitness events!


Tough Cookie Adventure Race
Saturday, September 7
10 a.m. Start
Camp Laughing Waters
Come to the 3rd annual Tough Cookie Adventure Race! Grab your parents and siblings, too! With your team of two to four people, run, bike, and use a map to navigate your way from point to point during this two-hour orienteering race. While traveling point to point, seek out adventure challenges to gain more points. You may get wet or muddy, but you’re guaranteed to have fun. Afterward, Enjoy a picnic lunch (self-provided). Spend the day at camp from 1- 4p.m. for a Camp Fun Day! Try your hand at archery (2nd grade and up), disc golf, gaga, and volleyball, or rock climbing (4th grade and up). Note: An adult must be registered and participate with the team when the team members are 12 and under.
