Cost: $15.00 includes snack, drink and use of a hand-held GSP
What is geocaching? It is a worldwide, outdoor treasure hunting game using a hand held GPS enabled unit, a good set of eyes and a bit of hiking around.
Juniors will earn the Geocaching badge. While learning how to gear-up for their adventure the girls will be taught how to use the GPS and to read the coordinated. Working as a team, using the GPS, they will follow the coordinated to locate camouflaged containers (caches) and solve the puzzles inside.
The afternoon session is for the Older Girls and is designed to meet the requirements of the Field Day Badge. Patterned after the popular television show The Amazing Race, teams will use handheld GPS units and a set of clues to race to the finish line. Along the way scouts will encounter and develop puzzles and group initiatives including: historic mysteries, science puzzles, and the great storytelling challenge, among others.

2nd Annual Campfire Kickoff
Make new friends and keep the old with our second annual Camp Fire Kick-Off for Volunteers! The cost is an appetizer, drinks (alcoholic or non), or dessert to share. In addition to your food or drink (see above), feel free to bring blankets to sit on or folding chairs. RSVP with the number of leaders/co-leaders/TCMs from your Troop attending, as well as your food or drink donations no later than September 21st. Please note this event is for adult volunteers only. No girls are permitted, due to the consumption of alcohol.

Dress up, have a pizza dinner with sister scouts, make crafts like a trick-or-treat bag, and enjoy spooky edibles as we celebrate our founder, Juliette Gordon Low, and help make the world a better place by bringing in a “birthday gift” to donate to children in need.

Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors are needed to run stations for Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors.
