May Service Unit Meeting

The May Service Unit Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 7pm in our regular meeting room at Trinity Lutheran.

First Aid/CPR Training

$30 per person

Please enter using the Acme side door....second floor

ALL TROOPS MUST HAVE A FA/CPR CERTIFIED PERSON in order to take any trip or outing (including going to the park, etc, or meeting in an alternate location).  It is suggested that troops maintain two or more FA/CPR volunteers.

Currently, the cost is $30.00, but the cost could decrease based on the number of registrations.  Your certification will be good for two years. Alice will handle attendance and notification of Council.

 

This class is only 3 hours and is $30, which saves you both time and money from the Council sponsored course, which is 7 hours and $50.

 Registration and payment MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 15th.

Calling all Girl Scout Leaders and Co-Leaders!  You make such a huge difference in the lives of your girls- let's celebrate that together as a Service Unit, as we get to know one another and give away fabulous door prizes!

Location: Olce Pizza in Cedars, PA (on Rt. 73)

Date and Time: Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 7pm-9pm

Cost per person: $15 (early bird) / $25 (please make checks payable to the Service Unit, SU565)
cost includes dinner (appetizers and gourmet pizza), non-alcoholic drinks, dessert, taxes, & gratuity


RSVP and pay by May 7th to save $10!!!

Calling all Girl Scouts!!!

Please join Jennifer in saving the bees!

• Did you know that the bee population is dying each year?
• Did you know that we need bees to provide 1/3 of the food on our plates, including fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds (and chocolate!!!)?
• Did you know without bees our world will be less healthy and vibrant, and more bland and desolate?
• Did you know there is a simple solution to help save the bees?

Please join Jennifer in planting flowers in our local neighborhoods!  We can provide beauty to our world, educate our neighbors on how to help save bees, and give the bees colorful flowers to pollinate and tasty nectar to drink.

Final Event Reminder: Earth Day

Please remember: today is the last day to register for the Earth Day program.  The cost is $7.50 per girl.  (No charge for adult volunteers).  Each troop must provide an adult to accompany and assist the girls to the station (1 adult per 6 girls)
