Travel Opportunity
We're going to Sangam!
GSEP Alums are going to Sangam and you're invited! 

Sangam, one of our World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) Centers, is located in Pune, India on the banks of the Mula River.Pune is in the Indian state of Maharashtra and is approximately a four hour journey from Mumbai. The name Sangam was chosen for its meaning in the ancient language of Sanskrit, "coming together". The center serves as a place for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world to come together to share their experiences, as well as the culture and traditions of their homelands and Member Organizations.

When: April 6 - 23, 2020
  • April 8 - 15, 2020 Mangoes and Mermaids - A Sangam Cultural Event
  • April 15 - 23, 2020 Tour of the Golden Triangle - more details to come
Cost: $3,500 - 5,000
  • All prices include airfare, accommodations, most meals, and land transportation. The price of airfare will be unknown until June 2019. 
Itinerary Overview:
  • Fly to Sangam in Pune, India
  • Attend an eight day event at Sangam
  • Fly to New Delhi and embark on a guided tour for an additional week
Who can go on this trip?
  • Adult registered Girl Scouts with a valid passport
  • Not recommended for travelers using wheelchairs or mobility aids
  • Must be able to walk 2 - 3 miles each day and participate in 3 - 5 hours of daily activity
