Fourth of July Parade Information

North Plainfield's 125th Birthday

On Sunday, July 4th, there will be our annual North Plainfield 4th of July Parade!

The Parade will begin promptly at 10:00am on Wilson Ave next to the high school.  We will proceed up Greenbrook Road, to finish at the North Plainfield Community Center.

We will have bubble, buckets of candy and flags to hand out to the girls.  If your troop would like to decorate a wagon to pull behind (to hold water or the aforementioned items), you may do so.  We will have a decorated truck as we did last year, leading the Girl Scout Community in the Parade.

If you and your troop would like to walk in the Parade this year, please RSVP back to Anne Fellin either by responding back to this email, or call (908)347-3683 with how many in your troop will participate by Tuesday, June 29th.

We ask that if you are walking, if you could please arrive by 9:15am, so that we may organize the girls before the Parade begins.

Please ask your troop to dress in patriotic red, white and blue if possible.  They may also wear their Girl Scout vest, sash or smock.

Also, for any troops of older girls, the Special Events Committee is looking for volunteers to decorate the stage at West End Field for the fireworks on Monday, July 5th.  If any of your girls can help, please let us know!
