Our Mission

As a Girl Scout, your daughter grows in an environment that nurtures her creativity and intellect, providing her with both the encouragement and resources to follow her dreams.  She has the opportunity to share the experiences with girls her own age, forming lasting friendships.  She visits exciting places, learns new skills and participates in fun activities.  Girl Scouting gives your daughter the support to build her self-confidence, helping her become a resourceful individual.

RVCC Safety Workshop
RVCC students, Insuk D., Brienna D., Katie B., Renee G., and Stephanie S., hosted a two-day Safety Workshop for 3rd grade Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts in North Plainfield. The event took place on March 30th and April 6th and was held at Watchung Presbyterian Church.  There were 22 girl scouts in attendance and awarded the Safety First Junior Badge for participating in Basic First Aid, Disaster Preparedness, Home, Car and Fire Safety as well.   Pictures from this event can be found here.

Brownie Troops enjoy an evening of fun with a Brownie Sleepover!

Senior Girl Scouts hosted a Brownie Sleepover on April 11th-12th.  Brownie Girl Scouts played volleyball, had relay races, crafts, an ice cream party, and wound down the evening with a movie before bed.  The girls had a great time, and some pictures from the evening can be found here.
Girl Scouts attend a Town Hall Meeting
Girl Scouts representing troops from North Plainfield attended the March 24th Town Hall Meeting at the Vermuele Center.  The girls performed a flag ceremony at the beginning of the meeting, and the Girl Scout Proclamation was read.  Pictures can be found here.

Our North Plainfield Girl Scout Craft Fair was a big success!  Troops from all over town hosted craft-making tables, and the Scouts had a chance to earn a badge.  Girls attending who were interesting in joining Girl Scouts had the opportunity to see first-hand Scouting in action, make a craft and make a new friend, and see what our program is all about.  Parents were able to ask questions and find out more on how to register their daughter for Girl Scouts.

Some pictures from the event can be found here.

Please check out our How To Join page for more information on how your daughter can join a Girl Scout troop!

Girl Scout Valentine's Day Dance

North Plainfield Girl Scouts give back to their Community

The month of November was a busy one for the Girl Scouts of North Plainfield!

  • Troops put together food baskets for families at Thanksgiving.
  • The Girl Scouts assisted the Boy Scouts and the NPHS ROTC of North Plainfield in their annual Scouting for Food Drive.  Troops dropped off bags and flyers to homes in town, and returned the next week to pick up the donated food, which was given to the local food bank for our residents in need.
